All Breed & Specialty Best in Show Winner. Multiple BOB. Group Placements & Specialty Select. In May 2005 we thought it might be fun to show “Vivi” a little and try to get her into the Top Twenty. Nine show weekends later she was an All-Breed BIS winner and among the top 5 Whippets in America. Shown a total of 16 weekends in 2005, she won 23 Breeds, 13 Group First and placements, an All-Breed BIS and a Specialty BIS. In her last 16 shows of the year, she won 15 BOB’s. Vivi ended the year as #4 Whippet in all-breed competition. In 2006, she was BOB & Group 2 nd at Palm Springs and is the only Whippet to get an Award of Merit at both the AKC Eukanuba Invitational and Westminster Kennel Club. Vivi was lost at JFK Airport while going home the day after Westminster and as of this writing has not yet been recovered. We are hoping her life spent running on the farm, catching and eating squirrels and rabbits, and being a very determined, independent and rugged individual will help her survive until she’s found. We hope that the tremendous media coverage will help us get her back. Our thanks to the entire Whippet community for their concern, help and kind thoughts during this very difficult time for us.
